Further Regulations Page 1 V8 Supercar Championship Series 2003 – Round 13 VIP Petfoods Main Event © AVESCO 2003 V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – ROUND 13 CAMS PERMIT NUMBER: 803/3011/01 FURTHER REGULATIONS FOR V8 SUPERCARS 1. MEETING RIDES 1.1 For this meeting Rule E1.6 has been deleted. 1.2 Teams will not be permitted to complete a warm up during the Meeting Rides session on Friday 28 November 2003. 2. QUALIFYING Any driver whose best qualifying lap exceeds 105% of the fastest V8 Supercar qualifying time achieved during the Shootout session will not be permitted to start in the Race; unless either Rule D 5.1.2 or D 5.1.5 applies. 3. ERECTING STRUCTURES In line with Workplace Health and Safety guidelines all structures must be held in place with above ground ballast. Spikes must not be driven into the ground anywhere in the Paddock area. 4. TEAM CATERING In order to comply with the requirements placed by the local authorities on the Eastern Creek Circuit, Teams must comply with the following: - All BBQs must be shielded from public view. - BBQs must be placed next as far away from the Garages as possible. - All local fire regulations in regard to its location to flammable substances must be adhered to. - A 9kg Fire Extinguisher and a bucket of water must be present at all times that the BBQ is in use. - All local health regulations must be abided by with regard to food preparation. 5. ELECTRICAL SAFETY Teams are responsible for the safe use of electricity in their garage and paddock area and must ensure that they comply with Workplace Health and Safety requirements. Any electrical work should be organised through the official event electrical supplier, who can be contacted through the promoter. 6. CAMPING No camping is permitted anywhere inside the Eastern Creek circuit. 7. TRUCK WASH A reminder to all Teams that a new truck washing bay is located on the paddock entrance road just after the tunnel near the medical centre. This is the only place where vehicles of any type can be washed due to the current NSW water restrictions. HEAVY FINES APPLY. SHOOTOUT DRAW 8.1 Date: Saturday 29 November 8.2 Time: 0800 – 0830 8.3 Venue: Pit Lane 8.4 Drivers: ALL 8.5 Format: 33 winners from pre-ticket sales promotion will each draw driver name followed by shootout starting position. 9.
