Championship history
Seasons — championship structure
The season blueprint for each year — points system, qualifying format, race formats and the round calendar — the inputs for reconstructing a season in a sim. Mined from the primary rulebooks where held (2002-2006 Operations Manuals; the 1999 Shell Championship Series regs) and from established V8 Supercar / ATCC history elsewhere. Every block carries its grade and source.

Grade B = read from a period rulebook (clause cited); grade D = established history. 1999 was the first year the enduros (Sandown / Bathurst) carried championship points; before that they were separate to the ATCC title. Points tables for 1993-1998 and 2000-2001 are described rather than tabulated — no primary table is held for those years.
