2005 V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – ROUND 1 CAMS PERMIT NUMBER: 805/2003/01 FURTHER REGULATIONS FOR V8 SUPERCARS 1. CORRECT NUMBERING FOR SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS Supplementary Regulation 2.6 Race Grid Positions is deleted and replaced with the following: 2.6 RACE GRID POSITIONS 2.6.1 Subject to Rule D 5, race grid positions for Leg 1 will be determined by the fastest time achieved by each driver in either the Upper 50% or Lower 50% qualifying session or the “Shootout”, whichever is applicable. 2.6.2 Grid positions for Leg 2 will be based on the finishing position of each driver in Leg 1. 2.6.3 Unless otherwise determined by the Series Stewards; 2.6.3.1 any Drivers who do not finish Leg 1 may be permitted to start in Leg 2 from the rear of the grid in an order based upon their fastest qualifying or race time (whichever is applicable); and 2.6.3.2 Drivers who had qualified to start in Leg 1 but were unable to so start, may be permitted to start in Leg 2 from the rear of the grid behind those drivers (if any) permitted to start pursuant to Supplementary Regulation 2.7.3.1, in an order based on their fastest qualifying time (whichever is applicable). 2. COMPULSORY PIT STOPS (“CPS”) Supplementary Regulation 2.7.5 is deleted and replaced with the following: 2.7.5 Subject to the preceding Supplementary Regulations 2.7.2 and 2.7.3, any other work may be carried out on a Car during a CPS.
