2006 V8 SUPERCAR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – ROUND 1 CAMS PERMIT NUMBER: 806/2603/01 FURTHER REGULATIONS FOR V8 SUPERCARS 1. V8 SUPERCAR PRE MEETING STREET PARADE Date: Wednesday March 22 Location & Time: 1000 Driver's tour of course in mini buses ( Not Compulsory) 1130 Cars in position on the grid. 1150 Drivers in cars ready. 1200 Parade start. - Team Mechanics to follow by mini bus. 1205 V8 Supercars park up in front of Town Hall. 1215 Reception for Drivers at Town Hall. 1240 Team Mechanics drive V8 Supercars back to Pit Lane. Drivers: All V8 Supercar Drivers Cars: All V8 Supercars competing in Round 1 of the VCS Uniform: All Drivers must be in dress Team Uniform. Tyres: Teams will be required to use wet tyres for this parade. Course: Attached is a map showing the course the cars will follow for the parade. The streets being used will be closed to all other traffic while the parade is taking place. The Cars will start on the Clipsal 500 grid and make their way to the Adelaide Town Hall. Here the cars will be parked in a fenced off area manned by security. The return trip will require a mechanic from each team to drive the cars back down Wakefield St and into the Pit Lane in the reverse direction. The cars will be traveling between 60 and 80 km/h along both routes with the total distance of the return trip is approximately 4.7km. 2. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATION 1.3.4 Supplementary Regulation 1.3.4 has been deleted and replaced with the following: 1.3.4 V8 Supercar Stewards: Steven Chopping (Chief), Peter Drew & Roger Brown 3. USE OF REFUELLING TOWERS Please delete Supplementary Regulation 2.6.1 and replace with the following: 2.6.1 The use of refuelling towers is only permitted during the Warm Up, after the Car is in Pit Lane immediately prior to the start of the Race and the Races on Saturday 25 March and Sunday 26 March.
