Format

Points structure

Same scale structure as 2003-04 - per-race linear scales assigned by race distance/status; positions 1-32. Scale is round/race specific (a round's main race takes the higher scale, its second race the 64 scale).

Qualifying

Timed qualifying with cut-off; 'Upper 50%'/'Lower 50%' separation (D 5.3). A Top Ten Shootout operated at some rounds (referenced in the D 11 pit/CPS parking rules, e.g. cars in the Shootout park nose-out) but Division D 2005 carries NO dedicated shootout procedure clause - it was run under Supplementary Regs. Endurance qualifying: one car per driver (D 5.4).

Sprint / race format

Standing starts; rounds carry 2-3 races (100-150 km, plus 140/280 km features). In-race refuelling prohibited unless authorised by Supp Regs; CPS prescribed by Supp Regs with a lap window. One driver per car except enduros.
